More about Performance Roofline Medium Fast Set Mortar
Cornerstone Performance Roofline Medium Fast Set is a dry-ready mixed natural hydraulic lime mortar gauged with Prompt Natural Cement for roofing applications. It is available in the colour tan or grey. Custom colours are available upon request.
Engineered with precision, using 100% pure natural hydraulic lime, natural sands, additives and gauged with Prompt Natural Cement to create a quick setting mortar for building and pointing roofline applications. This roofline mortar is explicitly designed for an improved performance on sloped surfaces, maintaining shape and consistency to reduce slump and sag, while speeding up the set time for a same-day finish. Available as standard with Saint-Astier® NHL5. Other binders and mix ratios are available upon request.
Well-suited for angled or pitched roofs, with additional workability even when used stiff and an accelerated set that allows for a same-day finish.
- A speedy set for a same-day finish
- Reduced risk of slump or sag
- Maintains its shape on angled surfaces
- Quick setting even on low-suction substrates
- Increased water retention for an improved cure
- Ensures a durable and resilient bond
- Minimised likelihood of shrinkage cracking
- Enhanced workability for those behind the trowel
Suitable for external use, where the binder strength is appropriate for the host background or surface.
Well-suited for roofline applications, including on ridges, ridges, verges, hips, and pointing gables. Cornerstone Roofline Medium Quickset prefers masonry with a degree of suction, so units like glazed tiles may be more challenging to work with. Appropriate for various project types, including conservation, renovation, or sustainable construction.
A 25kg bag yields approximately 15 litres of lime mortar. Coverage cannot be estimated accurately due to variations in bed depth and slate width. On-site trials are advised for the best yield indication for your specific project.
As natural products, our kiln-dried sands may exhibit variations in colour, texture, and shape. While these variations are minimal, when colour consistency is crucial, we strongly advise each elevation is completed using material from the same batch.
Supplied in 25kg polythene-lined and colour and batch-coded paper bags for easy identification on-site. Palletised for ease of transport, storage, and handling.
Do not use in temperatures below 5°C or above 30°C, or if freezing conditions are predicted within the following few weeks, including wind chill. We always advise following best practices for curing and protecting fresh lime mortars. Protect from adverse environmental conditions, including frost, rain, direct sunlight and drying winds.
Store in covered and dry conditions, protected from environmental conditions, including water, damp or frost and clear from the ground. Always reseal packaging if product is still present.
Always read the available documentation before use. See the Download Documentation section below for more detailed product information, application guidance and datasheets.
